Yes, there are numerous accounts of goverment agencies stifling the efforts of independent groups and public schools to offer home schooling options. The largest school district in my county has spent significant money on attorney fees to create legal road blocks to aspiring local charter schools which have incorporated home schooling. It's unfortunate to find that politics which support a "don't mess with the status quo" mentality are still minimizing opportunities for all strudent achievement. As more parents vote with their feet we will hopefully see more creative options in learning for all children. Thank You Harold for your response to this article.
